just had 2 spas today. heard sth interesting on the radio while coming back:
~On Growing Old~
1. you know you are growing old when u get the same sensation on a rocking chair as when u were on the roller coaster when u were younger
2. you seem to know the answers to everything but nobody bothers asking you.
3 forget about health food. you need the preservatives.
4.time is a good healer but a bad beautician.
5 wisdom comes with age..but sometimes age comes alone :)
there're suppose to be 7 lines but i dont exactly remember the other two..heh am i becoming old and forgetful?
Mmmmaryann

I've discovered that food is really a good form of stress relief. That and, reading a book, like yiiwen says, although it takes quite a bit of self-discipline (which I lack) to stop reading and get back to mugging.

i'm waiting for a huge frost file to download right now...thought i'd breathe some life here.
how are you guys holding up? i've been rather ok the past week. if you're not just rmb that whatever you're going through all your other friends are going through too. and so let's all strive together and tide over this ok?
some of my favourite stress relievers:
1. run
2. bake (not very advisable if you're time-short)
3. talk to either family or friends
4. read a chapter of your fave book
5. take a nap
good luck people it's full steam ahead for now!

i had an extra pc lesson today and i realised just how much i have to go to catch up with all the other extremely well-read and well-informed people with brilliantly analytical minds in my class.
we were just doing a pc of two poems when somewhere about 1 hour into the lesson i felt hopelessly lost. didn't know what they were discussing, they could have been speaking greek for all i understood. and all that comparisons abt books they had read! ugh. haven't even heard of them.
boohoo. and there i was thinking about doing Lit S. who am i kidding.
desperately depressed over the sorry state of her pc,
yii wen
p.s. sorry if it got you down. i needed to get it off me.

midnightcookies-people are indeed forward-looking (pokes may) :P already making plans for bake day or other "b" days yar?
anyway, i've got new specs (just in time for spa... i wont be forced to wear the uncomfortable goggles that makes me feel suffocated cos it slides down my nose)and a haricut. i realised its the first time in my life i got a hairstyle like this. now i cant tie my hair
oh, my lovely winnie the pooh file was pronounced dead on 16-9-05 at about eight plus am at the LT. it fell off when the lt table moved as i bent down to pick up sth from the floor. sigh. the rings part is sorta detached. not that i cant get another file..but this file means sth to me ..got it during the m'sia geog trip! and i thot it could accompany me to sch for a longer period of time...never expected it to just go like that!
heh, i sound too emotional over a dead file. oops, okay, tt's it. its just to inform u all about it :) shouldnt turn our blog into an obituary pg.
take care for now!

i realised that we don't update regularly. for lack of a better post:
we were discussing voyeurism during lit not too long ago. i suppose blog-surfing is a kind of voyeurism, trying to kaypoh abt other people's lives. and it's sort of addictive. i think all of us were born to be voyeurs in some way or another. it's a natural instinct to kaypoh. right?
speaking of which i wonder about the readership of our blog. who reads it? other than us, yk, ruth, grace. would be interesting to find out. be a voyeur of the voyeur haha.

p.s. ignore of you have no idea what i'm talking abt. i'm not sure i do.

It'd be amusing, wouldn't it, to be reading back our blog in future. I can imagine us meeting up for afternoon dim sum. So can Lydia. Even though it may bere difficult to keep in touch in future, lets all make the effort, even if its once a year(i hope not; we should meet up more!) Yes!
Anyway, turns out that there isn't a time limit for the kuishin bo buffet, my bad. Its more of, you pay $19 if you finish whatever you want to eat in 60minutes. Now, theres not much of a chance of that happening with us, is there? Normal price $23.
Any plans for after promos? Maryann suggests buffet outings (we're gonna grow fat together), and Lyd suggests blading at ECP. Lets have bake day too! Something to look forward to. :)

will our blog still be alive years later? hmm will blogspot still exist? or maybe they have more innovative stuff by then, like u know a "blog" wasnt known in the past...

went for dimsum today at furuma hotel. it's one of those must-try places for dimsum haha strongly recommended.
anyway that's not the main issue. the thing was, i saw this group of dear old ladies at the restaurant. all of them had white hair and looked older than my grandma. which means they were quite old. they were idly enjoying their dimsum and chatting away merrily, with no cares for the time that passed in that cool, air-conditioned haven with a garden view. my mum commented that she'd like to pass her old age in this way.
me too. how nice to have gone through the storms of life and emerge older, wiser, more serene and still have a group of dear old friends intact with whom to enjoy your golden years. i wonder if i will have that fortune in time to come. will we still be in touch with each other after jc?

wat was that, May...buffet critique? there's a time limit to kuishin bo's buffet? uh funny, i can imagine pple trying to eat as much as they can w/n one hour. haha :P
i went to sakura for buffet on sunday. ate quite alot i decided to skip dinner that night. buffets are bad but nice to have once in awhile, esp with your family. we should have buffet outings someday.
anyway, happy hols.

Its the September holidays.
I'm no longer the one doing the chasing for blogging. Heh. Yiiwen just asked me to come blog here. Well, I'm about 2 days late.
Sadly, I don't have anything to offer here. The sole purpose of this holiday is to catch up on school work and start mugging for the "ominious" promos. Oh well.
I'm currently in a food mood, so let me rant about food.
Theres this Jap buffet restaurant in Suntec thats really good. Kuishin Bo. I can't remember the exact location, but its on the top level of the mall, near tower 4 i think. The teppanyaki is a must try. And the steamed tofu. They've got quite a wide and interesting spread, to satisfy all your cravings from sashimi, tofu, tempura prawns, soft shell crab, and a whole lot of sushi and sushi rolls. The desert's equally nice. They don't serve udon/ramen though. Everything's buffet style, and you're given 60mins to eat your fill.
If you're looking for cheaper Jap buffet, theres Sakae Sushi's sushi buffet. I think its 3-6pm weekdays, special price for students. Advisable to go with an empty stomach and expect not to have dinner. (well, isn't that the case for all buffets? sigh) Free flow of sushi except those on red plates, plus one bowl of udon, fruits and a tub of Bud's ice cream.
Haha. I remember I met maryann on the way to the buffet. She messaged me one hour later and I was still eating. haha.
Haagen Daaz's flavour of the month is coffee. I never liked coffee. Its $2.90 if you're interested. Normal flavours at $4.50, which is a rip-off if you ask me. So far I've tried Tiramisu, Vanilla Pecan, Vanilla Caramel Brownie as part of the flavour of the month offer. Lets hope next month's flavour would be decent.
All that talk about food is making lil may hungry. But no training till after promos means I'm going to put on weight if I don't watch it. Especially at the rate I'm going. Staying at home=eating more.
I propose a bake day at yiiwen's house after promos.
Then movie day at mine, or if anyone has an esp big screen TV. Watch lotr!
Till then, good luck mugging. And for the promos as well.

hilarious event at the supermarket today:
sis: i want to get that ice-cream flavour that's finally on offer!
mum: which flavour?
sis (without thinking): it's going to make pa fat.
mum: you mean they actually have such a flavour?
sis: of course not. it's 'chubby hubby'.
mum (as light dawns): HAHAHAHAHAHAHA (right in front of the fruits section)
okay it sounded funnier when my sister narrated it just now. anw i thought it was amusing.
