First and formost,

HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY, MARYANN!!!

The surprise went quite well. Except for the part where they were at the stall lighting the candles and I didn't know they were doing that, so I brought maryann there.

I'm glad you enjoyed our surprise, Maryann! Haha. Maybe if you can upload the picture we took, we can post it here?

Well. We're now all older by another year. Growing up.

thank you for making this day so special...
as usual, i'd like to capture some of the wonderful moments here...and leave the rest to my own diary.
i came out of the washroom and May told me michelle was there...i couldnt see michelle, but i saw a familiar figure in front of stall 4. "isnt that sheeyin?!" i asked. May said tt's not her but i thot the pony tail and shoes and uniform were unmistakable. why was she there?! then i saw a lovely cake with colourful candles and i sorta get it...haha. may just kept asking me to walk back and forth, turn arnd repeatedly :P ...oh thanx for singing me the bdae song...was quite loud yea... :S but nonetheless, its the best choir i've ever heard! the cheesy chocalatey cake was yummy and i brought the leaves (found on the cake) home...any idea how to keep it nicely??? maybe i shall stick it somewhere with scotch -tape :) dont say tt's dirty k, cos its sth worth keeping. may, mich, sy, mavis, dawn, liru, yii wen were there...lydia came down too! so happy to see u all. ohhh...i got a picture of us...but its so tiny and blur...

kk, this is like the most special b'dae (pre-b'dae) i have...really thankew to all of u.

Yes, the blog's dead. owell.

Finally got my hands on half-blood prince and I've just finished it a few hours ago. Eyes hurt, image blurry (I'm not exaggerating!), yet here I am still blogging. Haha. Rowling's so cruel. She killed my favourite character in this book. I should have boycotted after Sirius died man. Riighttt. Such a tragic ending. My friend has a theory that it's all just a big scam though. It's a trick that will be revealed in the last book. I hope so =)

No spoilers in the post in case u peepz still havent read. How considerate of me.

Alright. Weekend is finally here. Training tmr. so to bed I must go.

oh man.....fencing is damn fun!

haha i think i'm gonna be permanently addicted to the sport after today. we did get thrashed 20-45 by the more experienced rjc fencers but it was a great bout nevertheless. it's like this big adrenaline rush when you step onto the piste and the feeling doesn't leave until some time after the whole thing ends. you don't know your surroundings anymore and for all you know you and your opponent are the only ones in the room. whoa. it feels really great to be fencing in your first competition and knowing there are more to come. there'll be loads more to learn in terms of technique and i'm looking forward to it!

I'm worried about U17s Team too. But don't stress yourself too much. Its only our first competition afterall. And you've one week to train yourself, and improve. Although you're seriously ok. You just have to learn to be more patient, from what you've been telling me. Trust me. At least you didn't like lose 1-5 the first time you free fenced. Anyway, keep going!

okay strictly speaking this shouldn't go into a group blog but for want of a better space i'm going to rant and rave here anyway so put up with me.

i'm scared stiff for the under-17s team event next wk.

anybody, HELP! i know i've been complaining a lot especially to my fellow eaters but still. argh. been losing all my bouts very badly during trg and that does nothing to boost your confidence for the real thing. i really don't want to be the reason my team is kicked out at the poules level though i know they would never admit it, being the nice people they all are. on top of that the guys have all done wonderfully at today's indiv event so that puts even more pressure on all of us.

I've been out with 409ians for the past 2 days. Its really nice to be among old friends again. What my mum said still sticks with me: "never forget old friends". Uh, that doesn't mean "don't make new friends".

We had bridge again today, or should I say yesterday, since its already 12am. They left my house only at 11plus. I'm sorry for the sad state my house was in and I promise I'll be a better host the next time. I haven't played Bridge for one month! Sheesh.

Urban infest on Sat was fun too! Details in Maryann's post!

i had a well spent saturday...2/7/05, urban infest at orchard. Thankew may, mavis, lydia, ruth. it was soo nice participating in it, partly becos i loved the balloons...but more importantly, it was nice...so nice ...being able to spend time with u all. really liked that saturday, so much so that i got home feeling sad that it was over. lemme narrate wat happened on that wonderful day so that i can remember some of the 'highlights' of the day...and that these memories will never fade when things are recorded here.

met may and ruth at seranggon mrt. may was first...then we waited for ruth to make her grand arrival by train. off to OP centre, opp cine. we registered and got our shirts :) waited and waited for the briefing to start but was told we could go for lunch first. lydia kept bugging for famous amos cookies but never got them till quite some time later. kk, went to heeren cos some pple wanted to buy cds...haha! and two out of the four who were 'less interested' in cds went to stone outside hmv. then we went up to other shops at heeren. never got to ate lunch when we were sppose to. then we went bk to the reporting booth and got those bkmarks/papers/BALLOONS! and ....zoom...off we went to shaw hse to start on mission possible. after a while...we went to 'recharge' ourselves. i'm sure u gals will know wat i mean, and how good we were at recharging ourselves...it was till then that mavis joined us. and then it was time to start work again when...when may got a call .hahaha. it was so "exciting" as i told mavis, when we were led by may to go on a SPECIAL ROUTE out to the place where two gals delivered water to us. Since bkmarks and balloons were running out, balloon-loving mavis and maryann walked all the way bk from shaw to cine to get more supplies while the rest...slacked? heehee, was just told that they visited borders., oh supposedly "looking round a little" (quoted form may :P) . poor balloon deliverers were surrounded by many balloon-lovers along the way and they gave out many many balloons...till the two bunches of balloons in their hands could be counted by one hand. maivs led maryann the wrong way and went to wisma instead...when they were suppose to return to shaw. in the end, we had ONE balloon left when we met may,ruth and lyd at wheelocks. ok....this is really quite long-winded. we went bk to cine as a grp and took many many balloons...and gave them along the way...from outside mandarin to ngee ann city. oh! we realeased a balloon while resting outside the pinkish brown building. That was such a special balloon....cos i dotted its string purple in hope that i will recognise it IF i ever get to see it coming down frm the sky someday. our names were written on the balloon by me :) i had our names surrounding two hearts while artistic mavis wrote "friends forever 409, 2004" on it. Off that orange balloon went up the sky while we took pics of it. too bad tt special "liberation of balloon" moment couldnt be captured on video. kk, then the grp walked bk to cine and waited for to be released. we just loitered arnd and helped to move chairs and tables when clearing up was done. after being dismissed, we went to cine and met more 409ners (yii wen/qien/sherry/zhihui/woonli) for dinner consisiting of baked rice/choc-rich cake etc. [kk, i know i'm a slow blogger and may is rushing me to finish it so tt she can read this b4 she slps]
ok so....we left for home/urban infest nite performance in two grps. thankew once again to may, mavis, ruth, lyd for making my day.

yawn...ok, that's a rough outline of wat took place k? hey, if i left our anything impt, u add it in :)

and today was yet another well spent sunday playing bridge with 2Ms and sy. i love our bridge sessions! with lots of junk included :P

thank you fellow eaters for yummylicious dinner today! with may, woonli, qi'en, maryann at scotts picnic. very potent mix of company. should come with a sign that reads: warning: abs-xercise ahead. hilarious time what with qi'en and maryann's antics. [no maryann that is NOT a body part]
