I don' t like it when people snub me when I'm doing flag day. A simple no or a shake of the head would suffice. Instead of cold indifference and avoidance.

Maryann, Mavis and I were once again given an insight into the other side of human nature while doing today. Strange how much power an innocent collection tin holds. We were given a wide berth by all the people who strolled down the stretch in front of Wisma, and that includes the peole from the Make a Wish Foundation and the people who were selling coupons for various causes. Which caused us to remark that the next time you want to take a undisturbed stroll down orchard, all you've to do is to arm yourself with a collection tin placed prominently.

I know you wouldn't appreciate it if you're walking down orhard minding your own business and someone suddenly brandishes a tin in your face. But the least you can do is actually acknowledge my presence. Its just a matter of courtesy. You deserve all those snide comments I made which were meant for you to hear, but since you were walking away so quickly glad to have "gotten rid" of us "pests", I doubt you heard it.

Another thing I learnt from today -- dining with Maryann requires great patience. I shall not bore everyone with details but you could say we discovered alot of eateries in Plaza Singapura today.
