I'm a great procrastinator. I think self-discipline and being on task sort of come hand in hand. And of course the many other factors.
Just wondering, given two tasks, one which you would enjoy doing, and one you dislike/detest/hate, both of which just have to be done, which one would you do first?
Me? I'd do the one I dislike first.

Its such a coincidence. Just the other day, my friend and I were talking about elderly couples too. Or rather, growing old. Don't you realise that as people grow older, they become happier? I guess they've just been through so much in life that they've grown to accept it, and that this acceptance makes them see things in a more positive light.
Like you said, it's sweet to see old couples walking hand and hand, who still love and adore each other after so many years of marriage. Realise that the only couples that don't pick fights with each other every other hour in Amazing Race are the old couples? And those couples are the ones whom I well and truly admire, not only because of their amicability and love for each other, but also because of their strength and resilience. They're not young anymore, yet they still find the will to brave the tasks thrown at them without a word of complaint. Maybe because I complain too much sometimes.
I hope I'll end up growing old this way too. I know I want to grow old gracefully and beautifully.

I'm Yours -- Jason Mraz

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
and now I'm trying to get back
Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
Nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon its again my turn to win some or learn some

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love
Listen to the music of the moment maybe sing with me
A la peaceful melody
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love love

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and laughed
I guess what I'm saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
Our name is our virtue

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

Well no no, well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
Listen to the music of the moment come and dance with me
A la one big family (2nd time: A la happy family)
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved love love love

I won't hesitate no more
Oh no more no more no more
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved, I'm sure
Theres no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

No I won't hesitate no more, no more
This cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours, I'm yours

Isn't this song just sweet?
Anyway, call me cynical but I believe that to love is to hurt. See, life throws things at you in the weirdest ways, and somehow, some time, you're bound to feel hurt. Yet, I do believe in unconditional love. There are, after all, many kinds of love. The love that exists between siblings and between you and your parents, for instance. I believe that's unconditional.
I believe the love that binds a friendship has the potential to become unconditinal too.
As for the other kind(s?), well, I'm in no position to comment really.

So this week hasn't been exactly one of my best ones. Stress level's been pretty high, and all the crap that I've had to go through thanks to that nasty bout of flu. At the end of the day though, I'm grateful for all the people who've lent me a listening ear, who've dared to talk to me despite the hostile "back off", who've provided me with randomly nice and comfortable conversations.
And theres also curling up and listening to lovely lovely music, which really brightens up your day a little.

Theres still much to look forward to. Lunch outing/Shopping next friday and our great plans to run the 5km shape run together. (Yiiwen, I HAVE been training.)

I resolve not to let little things bother me too much.
