hello my darlings. merry christmas and all things nice! i really hope that all of you are enjoying your christmases. we all deserve a good one after another year of hard work! may you get what you wish for, presents or otherwise.

as for me, i spent the past hour trying to decorate my gingerbread house with icing sugar. since i am a complete novice when it comes to icing sugar my sis and i made a mess of it, of course. we added water that wasn't warm enough, and added too little of it. the icing refused to cooperate and clogged up the pipe by hardening too soon, when it was supposed to flow beautifully and gracefully out if it, forming intricate patterns with effortless ease. maybe we got the stubborn icing sugar.

well in the end we resorted to using our hands and there's now a conspiracy to cover up our lousy icing skills by using choc chips and smarties! if you don't have the skill, you've got to have the brains to cover it up. there's always a way out for cheaterbugs!

will be assembling the house by gluing it with melted sugar after lunch. more updates (and pics) later!
