I'm kind of enjoying myself slacking around post-exams. Everyone else is rushing around and working but I decided to be indulgent and take at least half a month off before I return to the rat race. And even when I do, it'll definitely be doing something I'm passionate about. No more toilet surveys with a temperamental partner for me, no more working for money alone. I've learnt my lesson there, and I don't regret that job for all that it's taught me. To those who've already started work: I admire your drive and determination. Good luck and may you get lots of satisfaction from doing it!

Okay I started this post wanting to update about what I've been doing. Forgive me for the job thing it was just a spur-of-the-moment reflection.

Anw after May left us on Saturday we got lost going to Ikea! There was this sneaky factory building masquerading in Ikea's blue-and-grey colour scheme so we got off too early in some ulu part of Tampines. So we caught another bus. Correct stop, but walked in the opposite direction from the entrance. When we finally got in we rewarded ourselves with ice cream (chocolate mint, bread) and discovered a queue snaking ard half the carpark to get in.

Being the crafty people we were, and thanks to Ron's sneaky suggestion, the smart three skipped the 30-min queue and entered via the second floor. (: And headed straight for the restaurant. I have to say this: Swedish meatballs ROCK! It's not so much the meatballs themselves that have you going crazy, but the yummy sauce they're doused with. Don't like the cranberry jam though.

Jerm left aft awhile later and I went down to the food dept (partly to avoid being DDP) to get myself a GINGERBREAD HOUSE that you put together with melted sugar. I'll be building it near christmas, watch out for the pics here! I'm so excited. I've never done anything with caramel or icing sugar bef. Go me!

Today I dragged the sister to Little India for face and eyebrow threading. It hurt esp at the eyebrows and upper lip but the lady sure is pro. I'll def be going back. Won't be plucking those eyebrows anymore. Visited Sheng Shiong and decided that this is the place to buy things! Adidas Spray-on deodorant for ladies: $2.85! compared to the $7 I paid at the adidas shop.

I hope everyone is enjoying their hols. Embrace the freedom, leisure and peace! It's healthy to be doing nothing once in a while. My dad's words.
